Jiri SCHIMMEL has received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Communications in 1999 and in Teleinformatics in 2006. He is currently an assistant professor at the Department of Telecommunications of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering
and Communication of Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic. His research interests include acoustics and digital audio processing. He is the guarantor of the courses Electroacoustics and Studio Audio Engineering. He is a member of the AES.
