Description

During the analysis of speech disorders associated with so-called hypokinetic dysarthria, it is often the case that the results are about to be published using LaTeX language (a common practice in the field of science). In that case, attention to the correct notation paid. The speech features LaTeX tool provides users with an easy way to convert the feature labels to the well-known/notation-correct Latex-like syntax, which can be directly used to represent/publish the results.

The tool is programmed in the MATLAB programming language. It provides two tables: 1) local-features notation table – notation for so-called local-level speech features that are used to quantify common dimensions of hypokinetic dysarthria (phonation, articulation, prosody) for both linear and non-linear features; 2) high-level notation table – notation for so-called high-level features, which are essentially the statistical functionals taken from the local-level features to describe their statistical properties.
